IDI Logistics completed company’s newest DC.

ATLANTA (August 8, 2019) – Atlanta-based IDI Logistics has completed the sale of a newly constructed, 715,000 square-foot build-to-suit distribution center to Five Below, one of the fastest growing retailers in the country. This transaction marks the close of a successful project that was completed in less than 12 months, including building construction and full installation of special material handling equipment.

The new building is IDI’s first 40-foot clear height facility in Georgia. A DuctilcreteTM system was used for the warehouse flooring and a complex aerial conveyor system within the building required a specially designed roof structure to sustain elevated loads.

Operations at the new facility began in May and are projected to create more than 130 jobs. Five Below selected this location in Monroe County because of its growing labor force and its excellent location with proximity to Interstates 75 and 16. These two arteries provide easy access to the Port of Savannah and the entire southeastern United States.

This new facility is the first building at Meridian 75 Logistics Center, a 250-acre industrial park developed by IDI Logistics. It has served as a boon to new development, with interest in industrial and commercial spaces within the park steadily increasing since the commencement of the Five Below project. Additional sites remain available in the park for up to 1.1 million square feet of potential future development.

Bob Robers and Pat Murphy of Cushman & Wakefield represented IDI Logistics in the transaction. Mark Sims, Ray Stache and Lisa Pittman of Cushman & Wakefield represented Five Below.
