(ATLANTA, GA – February 2, 2021) – IDI Logistics, a leading developer and manager of logistics real estate, has pre-leased their 351,870 square-foot speculative building at 1301 N. Abbott Rd. in Romeoville, Illinois to Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), a distributor of fine wines and spirits in North America.

1301 Abbott Rd. is a Class A development offering 351,870 square feet of space, 36-foot-clear ceiling heights, and on-site trailer storage. It is located 20 miles from Chicago in the heart of the I-55 Business Corridor with easy access to major freeways/highways and stop-light-controlled ingress/egress. This development is one of three active projects IDI plans to complete in the Chicago market within the next 6 months.

This will be RNDC’s first distribution facility in the Chicagoland area. RNDC will use the new space on Abbott Rd. for the storage, warehousing, and distribution of wholesale alcohol beverage products. Delivery operations from this new site are expected to begin in April 2022.

“We are very excited to add RNDC to our growing national customer base,” said Scott Gibbel, Vice President of Capital Deployment and Leasing for IDI Logistics. “The facility’s size and premier location in the north I-55 submarket was ideal for RNDC’s operations.”

”As one of the largest national distributors, RNDC is proud to expand our reach in Illinois,” said Steve Feldman, RNDC Executive Vice President of Operations. “This is one of the many ways we are investing in the state and our future growth.”

Stephen Schneidau and Britt Casey of Cushman & Wakefield represented Republic National Distributing Company in the transaction. Dan Leahy, Adam Roth, Packy Doyle, and Kevin Cooney of NAI Hiffman represented IDI Logistics.
